here are the steps to getting one of Papa's puppies:
Thanks so much for your interest in one of Papa's Puppies! We have been breeding dogs since 2012 and simply love it. As our pups have started to grow up all over the west coast, we have started to have a higher and higher amount of interest in our dogs. If you have been referred by someone with one of our previous pups, you no doubt have heard great things regarding the health, temperament, and appearance of our dogs. All of these things lead us to a new process in managing the wait list and application process for one of Papa's Puppies. Current puppy prices are as follows: Labrador Retriever $1600, Golden Retriever $1900, Goldador: $1500, Goldendoodle $1500.
Step 1:
Fill out an application for a puppy. This is a brief questionnaire designed to introduce us to one another. It is the first step in to process to owning one of our puppies.
Step 2:
Phone call, text or email from me. After I have reviewed your application, I will let you know via a phone call, text or email if the application has been accepted or denied. If your application has been accepted, I will let you know roughly what your position is on our waitlist and when our next litters are expected.
Step 3:
Place a deposit. At this point, you have decided that you are ready to commit to getting one of your puppies in the future. In order to formally get on the waiting list, you will have to place a non-refundable $100 payment that will be applied toward the total cost of purchasing a puppy. This will secure your exact position on the waiting list. If you are not interested in putting down a deposit, then you can be placed on the "interest" list. This list will be notified AFTER the pups are born and those on the waitlist have elected their final pick for gender.
Step 4:
Pre-Breeding Confirmation deposit. This is a new step in the process. As soon as my female is in heat, I will reach out to those on my waitlist to confirm you are indeed ready for a puppy in approximately 4 months (the rough time frame from mating to having a puppy ready to go home with you). At this time, I will collect another $200 deposit to secure your pick order for this specific litter. If you are not ready at this time, you can stay on the waitlist for the next litter or move to the "interest" list with no additional deposit.
Step 5:
Birth of the litter. Within a few days of a litter being born, I will reach out to people on the waiting list in order once I know what genders and colors I have available. At this time, if your gender preference is available and you are ready for a puppy, you will make another $200 payment to secure your pick order for this litter. If you need to back out at this time, your prior deposits are non-refundable. You may however, choose to wait for an upcoming litter with an additional $100 deposit that will not count toward your final payment.
Step 6:
Pick your puppy. I am a strong believer in waiting until the pups have had a chance to grow up a bit and develop their personality before I ask people to choose their puppy. The best way for me to manage this is to have people pick their puppies usually at the 5-6 week age. You can either do this in person or via videos and photos if for some reason you are not able to come to our location in this time frame. At this time you will make a payment up to half of the cost of the puppy, depending on which breed of puppy you are purchasing.
Step 7:
Take your puppy home! This will happen at 8 weeks of age. Everything will be ready to go and you will receive instructions prior to picking up your puppy. You will pay the balance on the puppy at pick up. See prices at the top of this page. Get ready for one of the greatest adventures ever!
